This design features art by the English painter Arthur Hughes (1832–1915). This is perhaps Hughes' best known work and one of the most popular of all Pre-Raphaelite paintings. It shows a beautiful woman standing in a ruined building. She is stunningly beautiful and is wearing a long purple dress with a violet coloured scarf around her neck. She appears to be sad and pensive. Indeed, the woman is looking down at fallen blossoms, perhaps suggesting the end of spring, and of young love. There is ivy growing up the stone wall beside her. When the painting was first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1856, the accompanying catalogue contained a quotation from one of the songs in Tennyson's "The Miller's Daughter", in which the young lovers fear the passing of their love: "Love is hurt with jar and fret, Love is made a sweet regret; Eyes with idle tears are wet, Idle habits link us yet. What is love? for we forget: Ah, no! no!"

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I ordered this product to see what the quality was because I am selling it on my store. Plus it was on sale and it was an excellent price! I didn’t expect it to be as nice. It really is beautiful. I am relieved! The only thing I don’t like about it is the sawtooth hanger on the back. I prefer a wire hanging system. The sawtooth hanger was not even centered but I managed to hang it straight anyway. Overall I love it! I will add the wire myself. The printing was clear and crisp and the colors were excellent! The canvas was stretched tight and professionally done. I am very happy with the quality of the print!

The print was really like something that would be purchased in a gallery. One of the panels needed to be re-stretched but that’s easy. I did 4 panels which when hung together made one huge image. I then enhanced the canvas by painting over some areas.. and then used permanent markers. The result was a personalized artistic piece for a clients early modern home. This piece far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely go back and use this idea again. Exact representation of image sent. Be aware that photos have pixelated flaws... if these little dark specks aren’t cleaned up using common computer techniques, they will be represented in the final canvas print..... so go over the image and make sure all flaws have been erased prior to submitting it. The reproduction is exactly what you send.
