Archangel Michael Slaying Devil Vintage Gold Coffee Mug

This mug has St. Michael the Archangel on one side and the first two lines of the powerful St. Michael prayer on the other. According to ancient Catholic tradition, an image of St. Michael piercing the devil can protect you from evil. This beautiful engraving of St. Michael slaying Satan goes back to 15th century Germany. The artist is Martin Schongauer (1450-91). You can see his initials at the bottom of the picture if you look closely. I enhanced the art digitally and bathed it in majestic gold. This mug would be great for a policeman because St. Michael is the patron saint of the police. It could also be a comfort to anyone -- and a reminder to pray to St. Michael for the protection of us all.
