Vintage illustration Art Nouveau advertising poster design featuring Divan Japonais by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec, 1893. The Victorian advertisement painting was commissioned by Edouard Fournier, owner of the Montmartre bar and night club Divan Japonais. The Café du Divan Japonais restaurant nightclub featured exotic touches such as bamboo furniture and paper lanterns in the Japanese style.
It was included in the Les Maitres de l'Affiche (Masters of the Poster) series of 256 color lithographic plates used to create a very significant art publication during the Belle Époque in Paris, France.
