Art Print North Head Lighthouse and Crushing Waves

This lighthouse scene is of the North Head Lighthouse in Washington. The building rests on a rock formation located on the edge of the Columbia River and the Ocean. The weather on the northern part of the Pacific coast is often misty and overcast. The grey blue colour scheme of the painting blended with cool lights creates the right atmosphere of this coastal area. The landscape has been changed to make space for the movement of the sea. Adding rolling waves and the sparkling foam brings life to the seascape. That is the reason that I often sacrifice accuracy for the sake of a better composition.
