Artemis Brauronia Greeting Card
Artemis Brauronia, or Artemis as She was worshipped at Her sanctuary in Brauron, Greece, is the protectress of young animals and children. She was honoured with rites in the springtime there; She had another sanctuary on the Akropolis in Athens. She was associated with bears, as the bear is the woodland wild animal par excellence. Little girls between the ages of seven and ten called arktoi ('bears') danced to Her in imitation of bears, wearing saffron-coloured robes. Art by Thalia Took; the original is digital to look like watercolor, using textures scanned in from paper painted with watercolors.

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
