Athena - Fantasy theme line illustration. Athena is the virgin deity of the ancient Greeks worshipped as the goddess of wisdom and fertility and strategy in war. At her birth she sprang forth fully formed from the head of her father, Zeus. This pen & ink and tempera rendering was originally created in 1971. I did a short self promotion print run for gifts, and it was self published as part of my 1976 “Portfolio” series. I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
