This early 20th century British Military History print features the sinking of RMS Lusitania with the ship in flames surrounded by people and lifeboats along with the caption urging the Irishmen to join the Armed Forces to avenge it. An ocean faring British liner, RMS Lusitania was hit by a German U-boat on 7th May, 1915, when it was 11 miles away from Ireland’s southern coastline. This print reads, “Irishmen - Avenge The Lusitania - Join An Irish Regiment To-Day.”
