The Aztec calendar often confused with the Mayan calendar was carved on a huge stone 12 ft. in circumference. The Aztec calendar is the calendar system that was used by the Aztecs as well as other Pre-Columbian peoples of central Mexico. It is one of the Mesoamerican calendars, sharing the basic structure of calendars from throughout ancient Mesoamerica. Some say it has a 2011 (not 2012) prediction of a great change in the earth to come.
