Baby in the womb card

'Baby Sculpture, Time and Space' was created as part of my artworks towards the Batchelor of Fine Arts. The idea was inspired by being part of the journey of supporting my daughter during her first pregnancy, She was at week 34 when I did this sculpture and has now given birth on 15th October 2021. The sculpture is designed to enable the fetus to be turned in different positions so the journey of the baby within the womb can be followed. The original sculpture has an opening for the time of birthing. This Baby Sculpture has touched the hearts of others, one story was about a lady at work who was a first-time Grandma who was unable to see her grandson as the borders between Queensland and New South Wales, Australia was closed. I took the Baby sculpture to work, took the baby out, and let her hold her/him (The baby has a good weight) she was so overwhelmed with holding the baby as it represented what she was missing to hold her precious grandson. I hope this card's image brings encouragement, comfort and celebration, and the realisation of the wonderful life that is developing within. There are several images as part of this series. Zazzle NZ was the site I used to send the good news to my Mum in New Zealand of the arrival of her great-grandson. Then I saw this opportunity to sell a card I believe will touch many of a heart in its own unique way. The card is left blank inside on purpose as this is when you take over and add your special touch to it.
