Badlands, South Dakota Postcard

The beauty of the badlands is captured in this colour photo taken during our visit to the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Colourful bands of rock strata can be seen in the eroding buttes, pinnacles and spires of the rugged landscape. National grasslands of mixed-grass prairie, can be seen in the foreground. The green of a grassy plateau, near the top of the rocky outcropping, completes the panoramic view, in the distance; while the sun, low in the sky, fills the crevasses with deep shadows. It was a beautiful day with mostly a clear blue sky. Colour Photography by DeborahLynne, using a digital camera.

Love the glossy surface. It adds to the durability of the postcard. The character of the Badlands is captured in the rocky outcroppings of spires, buttes and pinnacles. The shadows fill the crevasses giving the landscape a beauty all its own. The printing of the colors are lifelike and gives the feeling of being there! The text is crisp and clear.
