The Tsukumo-gami are a type of mythological creature, or youkai, from Japan. Literally translated as "Artefact Spirit," these are human items that become self-aware on their 100th birthday. The three depicted here are the bake-zouri or bake-zōri (ghost sandal), the karakasa-obake (umbrella ghost), and the chouchin-obake or chōchin-obake (lantern ghost).
