Baldwin- Reading Railroad Locomotive 2124 Tie
From www.railphotoexpress.biz- Originally built in 1924, by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, as an I-10a 2-8-0 road #2044. Converted to T-1 Class #2124 in 1947, by the Reading Railroad. It was used on the Reading Rambles from 1959 through 1961 Pulled its last Reading Ramble on October 22, 1961. Retired and sold to "Steamtown" in July, 1963. Declared to be restorable but only cosmetically restored in 1997 On static display at Steamtown Nation Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. © Stan Feldman 7/2/2005
