Baltusrol Country Club Mug

According to their Web site, Baltusrol Country Club in Springfield NJ, dates to 1895 and "is considered one of the country's premier private golf clubs" and has "hosted 16 national championships, including seven U.S. Opens and one PGA Championship." This ca. 1911 cartoon about Baltusrol dates to the early part of the 1900s and the club can be seen in the background. Although the club is in Springfield, apparently early members or visitors to the club who arrived by train would have to get off at Short Hills, so many early publications gave a Short Hills address for Baltusrol. If you are or are close to a golf enthusiast, this vintage Baltusrol golf club coffee or tea mug is a great small gift to remind you or your friend of the renowned golf course.
