The original photograph by MaeFlowers on this 16” Throw Pillow is a closeup of a banana flower. The tropical photo has colours straight from nature. In the background there are yellow green, unripe bananas. In the foreground, the rich, dark reddish brown of the flower petals, called bracts, curve outward. Beneath every petal layer lies an orderly row of little yellow-tipped fronds. These are the buds that eventually become bananas. The petals are a lighter, dusty pink colour as the layers unfold towards the heart of the flower.
