Banana Flower Pattern Cutting Board

The original artwork on this 11”x8” Cutting Board was created from an original photograph by HomeWare of a banana flower. The photo has been repeated to form this tropical pattern. The colours are straight from nature, with an intricate background of yellow green, unripe bananas and the rich, dark reddish brown of the flower petals, called bracts, curving around in front. Beneath every layer lies an orderly row of little yellow-tipped fronds. These are the buds that eventually become bananas. The petals are a lighter, dusty pink colour as the layers unfold towards the heart of the flower.
