Basilisk, Art Deco Mythical Mouse Pad

Basilisk, Art Deco Mythical Mouse Pad In a ruined gallery of cracked marble columns, a crowned basilisk rises from its coils at the edge of its frame. Broken colonnades stretch behind it, stone steps crumble into the courtyard, and a bright sun blazes through the clouds. Nothing else moves in the ruins. A tall jewelled crown of rubies and teal set on its head, gold scales gleaming, gems studded along its body, it keeps watch over the old villa, as though anyone who reaches this desk had better not look it straight in the eye. That sense of legend and ceremony shapes the entire design. The sculpted serpent turns in profile against a radiant Art Deco sunburst, gold scales with teal undersides, ruby and teal gems set along its coils, and a royal crown atop its head. The stepped gold frame, corner star medallions, ruby gems, and gold fans at top and base turn the scene into a royal crest rather than a flat illustration — a monument from a lavish fantasy age, set right under your hand. Black and green marble borders contrast with polished gold, ruby-red enamel, and the weathered cream of the marble ruins. Stepped geometric lines and symmetrical corner ornament complete the luxurious Art Deco presentation on a classic mouse pad for Myth And Monsters collectors, fantasy fans, and anyone who rules their own corner of the office. • Crowned basilisk as guardian of the ruin gallery • Radiant Art Deco sunburst, jewelled crown, gem-studded coils • Black and green marble borders, ruby accents, stepped gold frame • Corner star medallions and gold fan ornaments • Part of the Art Deco Mouse Pad Collection
