Bat Greeting Card

Bat is a very ancient Egyptian cow Goddess of the night sky; Her worship likely dates back to Predynastic times. Like Hathor, She is depicted as a woman with cow's horns and ears, though Her horns are a different shape than Hathor's (She may be after a different early type of cow). She may be shown on the Narmer Palette and on the Gerzah Palette, which shows a simplified cow's head with stars at the tips of the ears and horns, with another on the forehead. Her name comes from one of the Egyptian words for soul, 'ba', with the feminine ending '-t'. Digital art by Thalia Took in an Art Deco style.
