Bayeux Tapestry Tree Metal Tree Decoration

I visited Bayeux in May 2017 when we took my father to see the Normandy landing beaches of WWII. We stayed in a hotel in Bayeux and it is a lovely village and my favorite part of our trip. I could have easily spent a week here. We noticed that the sidewalks had metallic markers scattered about the town with this image, taken from the famous Bayeux Cathedral Tapestry. I bought these for my sisters as a remembrance of our trip. The printing is fine. The image is either taken directly from one of the sidewalk markers or from the tapestry itself. The dark spots on either side of the tree might be construed as defects in the art, but they are part of the actual object used to make the ornament and are there on purpose.

What a cute ornament with all the best bosses from Mega Man 1-4! The coating (to keep from scratching) almost feels like podge glue. Awesome! Very awesome - see my photo for size.

I never thought about collecting Christmas Ornaments for each place my husband & I traveled until later on in our lives. Now I'm trying to play catch up with all the places we've traveled to & didn't have an ornament. I made a travel tree this year that I will keep up all year in my office, since the majority of the ornaments are places from all around the world where our company has taken us to. Print was large enough to see.
