A Star of David (Magen David) replaces the familiar crown accompanied by text reading, "BE CALM AND SAY SHEMA YISRAEL," referring to the Shema prayer which begins, "Shema Yisrael Adonai eloheinu Adonai ehad (Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One). This is Judaism's declaration and affirmation of belief in one God.
