Beautiful Greek Women Picking Pebbles on a Beach Tile
This design features a painting by the British Victorian painter Sir Frederic Leighton (1830–1896). It shows four beautiful women standing on a beach as they pick up pebbles from the sand. The women are wearing long flowing robes in various shades of red and cream; they have bare feet. There is some seaweed on the beach, beside the rocks. Waves are gently lapping at the sand from the blue sea beyond. The scene is set in ancient Greece, perhaps on one of the Greek islands.
