This adorable puppy (love that hair!) is a Bernese Mountain Dog. This breed of dog originated in the farm areas of Switzerland and is named for the Canton of Bern. Historically, these dogs were used as farm dogs because of their large, hardy frames and the fact that their calm, patient nature and people-orientated temperaments made them ideal for driving cattle, pulling carts to market, watching the farm and being farmers’ companions. These cheerful dogs love children. They are very intelligent, easy to train and are natural watchdogs. They are sensitive, loyal and extremely devoted. A Bernese Mountain Dog will be your friend for life.
