This sturdy wooden bird feeder, which hangs from a sugar-maple tree, is a busy avian gathering place on this warm and sunny spring morning. Perched on the feeder or nearby tree branches sharing their newly-discovered bounty are five birds: two vibrant indigo buntings, a male (red) and female (grey) cardinal, and a bright yellow goldfinch.
