Birdhouse Collection Round Clock
Birdhouses are loved by so many they have become a well watched Americana symbol. Birdhouses come in more varieties than there are birds. Birdhouses can look like churches or houses. Birdhouses can have high pitched roofs or flat roofs. Birdhouses for Purple Martins are large apartments. The Amish often use large gourds for birdhouses. If you place a birdhouse or two near a birdfeeder birding can take place in your own backyard. Though birding takes place much of the time in parks and forests those interested in birding almost always have several birdhouses near where they live. Any birdwatcher will tell you different styles of birdhouses will attract different birds. Some birdhouses must have very small holes as front doors while other birdhouses the holes must be large to accommodate the larger bodies of certain birds. Robins do not frequent birdhouses but prefer boxes in which the nest. Bluebirds prefer a birdhouse on a pole a few feet off the ground and nothing close by. Birdhouses can be made from kits or from a huge variety of plans for birdhouses offered in magazines and on the Internet. In this birdhouse collection there is also a butterfly house. Butterfly houses look a lot like birdhouses except of course their front doors are more like slits then round holes. Either birdhouses or butterfly houses add much charm to anyone’s yard. The birds that take up residence in birdhouses that birdwatchers can view from their windows often become almost part of the family. The curiosity and pleasure from bird watching makes birdhouses a unique item of Americana. Because of its diverse styles, colours and of course the constant show unfolding daily with the birds, it is no wonder birdhouses and butterfly houses have earned their places in America,. This birdhouse collection image is part of a collection of best seller images of Americana art belonging to an on going series of images of farms, sewing machines, picnic baskets, outhouses, schoolhouses, churches, barns, birds, birdhouses, lighthouses plus Amish landscapes, buggies, and buildings created by Richard Neuman in his rural studio near McComb, Ohio. For 50 years Richard’s art has been continually evolving. During most of his early Americana work he used pens, brushes and watercolors. Each painting in this Americana art series was created this way. Today he creates the images in these series using a computer. Richard has recently converted the Americana originals into digitised art of very high quality. In his studio many steps using Photoshop and several other computer art programs are blended together with fifty years of art experience to create the birdhouse collection image for those that love birding, bird watching, constructing birdhouses and of course who own and observe birdhouses.
