Birds of Pax (Peace) Ornament

Two doves rest among the letters in the word “PAX” in the mediaeval design on this ornament. The two classical, linen-coloured birds of peace are filled with a swirling floral pattern. Raspberry tone-on-tone stripes on their tail fans add a splash of colour along with the same pinkish-red colour on their beaks. The Latin word for “peace” is in deep burgundy, Gothic text. A dark grey drop shadow gives the design depth for a three dimensional appearance. From my original digitally created image.
