Birthday William Morris Golden Lily 1899 CC1227 Card
Birthday greeting card for everyone who loves the swirling floral wallpapers released by Morris & Co.
The pattern is titled Golden Lily and dated 1899. This version is a little different compared to the earlier ones. The flowers are set against a dark blue background, full of dots in a lighter blue colour. Even the lilies have changed colour and are now a light and soft hue of cyan.
Designer is John Henry Dearle (1859 – 1932) who at this time was the Art Director of the William Morris company.
The image has been digitally cleaned and enhanced (March 2021).

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
