Blake Family Crest - Black Ink T-Shirt

The Blake Family Crest is an original design by Val Blake. It features the following: Crest: A Phoenix rising from the sun; an Anchor and Ship's Wheel. The Phoenix, a mythical bird of great beauty symbolises Power, Strength, and Renewal. The Sunburst represents the Self in its relation to the comic as a whole. The sun rays signify the cardinal directions: North, South, East, and West. The Anchor is the symbol for Hope and Stability. The Ship's Wheel symbolises choosing a life path, navigating a constant journey to find our way and make the most out of life's opportunities. Top Banner: The family name, Blake, is flanked by Forget-Me-Not flowers. The Forget-me-not is a symbol of true and faithful love, and memories. During WWII in Germany, the flower was used as a substitute for the Masonic square and compass as a means of identification. In Newfoundland the flower is worn every 1st of July in memory of those who died during WWI. Top Mantle: A Knight's Helmet flanked with Laurels. The Knight's Helmet represents wisdom, security, strength, protection, and invulnerability. The Laurel is a sign of peace and symbolises victory and glory after a long, inner struggle. Shield: Four divisions, Heart centre, with Anchor charges. Four divisions on the Shield represent Faith and Protection. The initial is centred within the Heart which symbolises goodness and charity. Shield Supporters: Dragons, the embodiment of primordial power, the ultimate rulers of the elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Wind; a powerful guardian and guide.
