Blake "To See a World" Victorian Art Card
Card: "To See a World in a Grain of Sand" (William Blake), vintage art and historical poetry with a modern twist. A charming lady contemplates a budding blossom in this lovely Victorian illustration c. 1840-1860 by L. Jourdain. The original black-and-white engraving is in the public domain, and I've remixed it with a modern twist by digitally hand-colouring it. To complement the enchanting imagery, I've incorporated a quotation from the beautiful 1803 poem Auguries of Innocence by William Blake: "To see a World in a grain of sand / And a Heaven in a wild flower, / Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand / And Eternity in an hour."
