BOMBSHELL BAD GIRLS Retro Pin-Ups T-Shirt

BOMBSHELL BAD GIRLS Retro Pin-Ups T-Shirt

The Bombshell Bad Girls Pin-up series features utterly fabulous retro art from some of the greatest names in Pin-up girl art history including, Gil Elvgren, Zoë Mozert, Alberto Vargas and more. Pin-ups have a wide appeal in popular culture. They were intended for informal display and were meant to be "pinned-up" on a wall. Pin-up girls may have been glamor models, fashion models, or actresses. As early as 1869, women have been supporters and protesters of the pin-up. Women supporters of early pin-up content considered these to be a "positive post-Victorian rejection of bodily shame and a healthy respect for female beauty." Women protesters argued that these images were corrupting morality and saw these public displays of women as lowering the standards of womanhood, destroying their dignity and harmful to both women and young adolescents. It has been said that in the early 20th century, these drawings of women helped define certain body images—such as being clean, being healthy, and being wholesome—and were enjoyed by both "normal" men and women; but as time progressed these images changed from respectable to illicit. Whatever side of this fence you stand on, these days they are beloved as vibrant, beautiful, fun and frequently cheeky retro art. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them! Due to different monitors and settings the actual color may vary slightly from the pictures shown.

Love this product, I've only recently found out I am 50% Scottish (through ancestry dna) and wanted something created for our family which incorporated our Clan & Tartan. Possibly could have been a little brighter, but overall very please 🤗

I'm really happy with this shirt - it looks great, fits perfectly, and feels right. The quality of the material and the cut is excellent. I'm really happy. I designed the print and it is exactly as I planned. In fact the colours are better than I'd hoped. The colours are fairly nuanced across the front and it wouldn't have worked if the printing wasn't exact, but it is.
