Adriano Bonifazi - The little Savoyard, 1878 (cut out). The little boy makes me think of a snufkin (a Finnish fairy tale character). He's wearing a hat that is decorated with flowers, ribbons and other things, and he's playing a tune on his flute. His outfit as well as the expression on his face seem to suggest that he likes to stick to his own beautiful imaginations. His message to us may be: You don’t have to know something is true to believe in it.
