Wildlife postcard shows a sweet baby orangutan on the island of Borneo. The artist's profits from the sale of this wildlife postcard are used to buy food and supplies for the hundreds of rescued orangutans who are brought to this Care Centre where she has been a volunteer for many years. This gentle great ape is an endangered species, and in the wild, an orangutan will stay with his or her mother for 7 to 8 years(or more) even if the mother has a new baby. Orangutans are intelligent and gentle. Their natural diet is fruit and vegetation, and they live in the canopy of the rain forest which is rapidly being destroyed for palm oil plantations.
