About This Design

Bouguereau The Hard Lesson Postcard

Bouguereau The Hard Lesson Postcard

Bouguereau The Hard Lesson postcard. Oil on canvas from 1884. William Adolphe Bouguereau was one of the great portrait painters of the neoclassical period. Though renowned for his classical and biblical paintings, many of his contemporary portraits are some of the most stunning and moving. The Hard Lesson depicts a cute working class girl studying barefoot outside trying to better herself through education. A pretty gift for fans of Bouguereau, reading paintings, neoclassical portraits, and fine art.

Such a huge range of different frogs available, which made my choices very difficult and now the reason I have a whole draw full of cards and postcards! Much better quality than you can buy in the shops and they are exactly on the subject I love and adore too.
