Breakfast Under the Birch (frukost under stora björken) (1896) by Carl Larsson is a vintage Victorian Era fine art daily life painting. A family is eating lunch in the garden under a large birch tree. Children with adults and parents are sitting at a picnic table enjoying their meal in the backyard. There are a couple of beer bottles are cast aside carelessly on the green grass. They are enjoying the beautiful sunny summer weather. About the artist: Carl Larson (1853 -1919) was a Scandinavian Art Nouveau painter from Sweden and a member of the arts and crafts movement.
