The paper it is printed on is more like card stock. It's very thick and nice. I do think that because it is just a flat card (doesn't fold), it really needs the fancier envelope with the hydrangea insert to make it pop. Don't go with just the white envelope. This card needs the fancier envelope. It took me awhile to figure out how to get all the information on the card that I wanted to. My son (the groom) finally went online and helped me - changing sizes, etc., but it turned out beautiful. We are all very happy with the results and the price was very reasonable.
