Bright Orange Gulf Fritillary Butterfly Rectangular Sticker

An original fine art photograph by Shelley Neff Design and Photography featuring a macro of a beautiful bright orange Gulf Fritillary Butterfly resting on a purple flower. Also known as the Passion Butterfly (Agraulis vanilla) its underwings are buff, with large silvery spots and is a member of the Nymphalidae family and Heliconiinae subfamily, which are longwing butterflies. It is the only member of genus Agraulis. The common name, Gulf Fritillary, comes from its migration over the Gulf of Mexico and can commonly be seen in parks and gardens, as well as in open country. Its range extends from Argentina north through Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean to the southern United States, as far north as the San Francisco Bay Area on the west coast. The larva feeds exclusively on species of passionflower, such as maypop (Passiflora incarnata), yellow passionflower (P. lutea), and running pop (P. foetida). Makes a beautiful gift for anyone who loves butterflies, nature and wildlife. Looks perfect on any product but especially on laptop sleeves, greeting cards, postage stamps, magnets, gift tags, coasters, mousepads, photographic or canvas prints and can be personalised by adding your name or other text by choosing 'Customise It'.
