The Bunker Hill Covered Bridge in North Carolina, located in Claremont, is a rare historical treasure and the last remaining example of an original Haupt truss design. Built in 1895, this charming wooden bridge spans Lyle Creek and is renowned for its architectural significance and rustic beauty. It stands as a cherished symbol of the state's rich heritage and craftsmanship. There are only 2 covered bridges left in North Carolina. This is one of them. It’s part of a small park and closed to everything but foot traffic.
