Butterfly on Blooming Bush Vintage Botanical Art Cushion
This image is derived from part of a vintage botanical illustration (dated late 1700s to early 1800s) by Hermanus de Wit, a Dutch watercolor artist who painted botanical and natural history subjects. The original art piece, "Two Exotic Butterflies (Vlinders) on a Blooming Plant," is in the Netherland Rijksmuseum's public domain collection. This image appears on a dark bluish grey (almost black) background. Other versions of this image, with different backgrounds and borders, are also available.
