Its other paw is holding the state flag of California in this vintage 1910 postcard commemorating the Admission Day Festival held in San Francisco on September 8 - 10, 1910. The Native Sons and Daughters of the Golden West sponsered the festival to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the admission of the state of California to the Union on September 9, 1850.
