A woman in a green gown and a bear stand on a boulder on the Pacific coast overlooking the ocean. There's a giant redwood in the background of the vignette and California poppies and the state seal on the border of this vintage postcard from 1910, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the admission of the state of California to the Union. The festival was held in San Francisco on September 8th through the 10th, 1910. A medallion hanging from the woman's waist reads "1850" and the long banner says, "Statehood."
