I took this photo of a California Scrub Jay attacking a Red-tailed Hawk in San Diego, CA. Fun facts: California Scrub Jays are little thieves known to steal food from woodpecker caches and from other jays’ hiding spots. Red-tailed Hawks have such an iconic scream that they’re almost always used in movies regardless of what species is actually on screen. The original photo was set to 16x20 using a 4:5 aspect ratio.
