Underneath that, wider stripes of increasingly lighter oranges fill the top two-thirds of the gradient, with the bottom third of the gradient in an orange-pink-brown colour. Over the entire pattern is a mosaic pattern. The underlying design started life as a photograph of a New Year's Eve San Diego County sunset. The inside of the rectangle is the same light orange as the middle of the gradient, and the rectangle is bordered with the same medium orange as in the top third of the gradient.
