Visitors to this famous location on the island of Borneo are often greeted at the dock by this great ape! Camp Leakey is the site of the oldest continuous study of orangutans, the place where Dr. Birute Mary Galdikas began her work in the 1970's as one of three women selected by Louis Leakey. In this photo, Siswe sits in the doorway, OFI employees are inside, and the movie screen is in the background.
