A wild Elk stag (also known as "Wapiti") takes a long look back before entering a nearby forest. <brNB: Sometimes large wild animals such as Elk, Moose, Caribou and Deer wander across our busy highways. Drivers should take care at all times and reduce speed wherever possible around such habitiat areas. We have seen so many foolish people passing motorists dangerously while they are slowing for wildlife. The annual road-kill count in Jasper National Park roadways alone is currently around 150. Alpha Wolves have also been included in the sad carnage seen on our roads.
