Candy Canes & mistletoe Black Merry Christmas Tile

Candy Canes & mistletoe Black Merry Christmas Tile

The ubiquitous Christmas candy cane is a symbol of the simple roots of Christianity, one so old that we have all but forgotten its origin. The candy takes the shape of a shepherd's crook, representing the humble shepherds who were first to worship the newborn Christ. - Historically mistletoe represents romance, fertility, and vitality. The Celtic Druids valued mistletoe for its healing properties. The tradition of kissing under mistletoe began in ancient Greece during a festival called Saturnalia then later in marriage ceremonies, as the plant was seen as a symbol of fertility.- This line Art is original and made by me at Onshi Designs.

My fiancé and I were happy when we received the tile. It’s Peru and was worth paying extra for expressing postage. Good quality and it is exactly like we wanted it. We are very pleased.
