The Cape Neddick Light, a lighthouse in Cape Neddick, York, Maine, is a famous American icon.
In 1874 Congress appropriated $15,000 to build a light station at the "Nubble" and in 1879 construction began. Cape Neddick Light Station was dedicated by the U.S. Lighthouse Service and put into use in 1879. It is still in use today.
The Cape Neddick Light stands on Nubble Island about 100 yards (91 m) off Cape Neddick Point. It is commonly known as "Nubble Light" or simply "the Nubble."
The Voyager spacecraft, which carries photographs of Earth's most prominent man-made structures and natural features, includes a photo of Nubble Light as well as images of the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal.
This iconic lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
