Catalina Island Flying Fish Tile with Border

The tiles I ordered arrived safely, wrapped carefully in a timely manner. They are beautiful prints attached to thin (1/16" thick) white ceramic tile. They are lovely replicas of the original tile designs I've seen in person on Catalina Island. Accurate tile replicas are made from red adobe-like clay, like the ones produced on the Island during it's tile manufacturing boom. Authentic Catalina tiles are thick tiles (1/4" thick) which are quite sturdy that you can use indoors or outdoors. These thin replicas are more for decoration than function. That being said, Zazzle's photo replicas of the beautiful tile designs seen on Catalina are well-made, and should be lovely and useful. I did buy the Flying Fish tile for decoration, and I'm very happy with it. I'm excited to have it hanging in my Ocean room at home! :D. The colors were vivid and bright, and the lines were aligned which is critical for this kind of art. One of the tiles I ordered was perfect, the other, the lines were off.
