Cerberus, Art Deco Mythical Postcard

Cerberus, Art Deco Mythical Postcard At an iron threshold before a dark gate, a three-headed hound with gold collars and dark hide keeps underworld watch. The last light has slipped across the scene, turning the sky a deep jewelled teal, but the cerberus remains illuminated like a guardian carved from living gold. All three faces fill the sunburst—not lunging, not howling yet, simply watching. The iron threshold seem to lead directly towards its throne, as though anyone entering this hidden realm must first pass beneath the gaze of the cerberus. That sense of gatekeeping power and ceremony shapes the entire design. The cerberus's three heads and gold collars rise against a radiant Art Deco sunburst, creating the appearance of a royal crest. Triple stare accents the figure while the surrounding geometric architecture frames the creature like a monument from a lavish fantasy age. Iron threshold and dark gate contrast with polished gold, black, emerald-marble panels, and brilliant red jewel accents. Repeating serpent medallions, stepped geometric lines, symmetrical ornament, and the bold black CERBERUS title plaque complete the luxurious Art Deco presentation. The reverse continues the same world rather than becoming a generic postcard back. A warm ivory writing field is surrounded by coordinated gold, black, emerald, and ruby ornament, while an illustrated coastal landscape stretches across the lower edge. The Art Deco Postcard Collection emblem, address lines, and stamp area complete a front-to-back design made to feel like one finished piece. • Three-headed Cerberus with gold collars at an iron underworld gate • Radiant Art Deco sunburst, triple stare, and royal crest framing • Emerald marble, ruby accents, black panels, and polished gold geometry • Coordinated illustrated back with message, address, and stamp areas • Part of the Art Deco Postcard Collection
