Chicago Style Steppin' Greeting Card

Chicago Style Steppin' Greeting Card

WHAT IS STEPPIN’? “Chicago Style Steppin” – an immensely popular style of urban dancing, which back in the day was called ”bopping,” is a unique African-American cultural dance form that typically combines the elegance of ballroom dancing with various elements of hand and social dancing. Sometimes called cha-cha, walking, swing-out and ballroom dancing in other parts of the nation, the original dance style of ”Steppin’” is rooted in the city of Chicago. ”Steppin’” music has an easily identifiable beat that can be found in many classic R&B, neo soul, urban contemporary, jazz, hip hop and pop songs. ”Steppin’” is usually coordinated into events called ”Stepper Sets”. The dance style of ”Stepping” has a culture of its own with many loyal followers and is steadily gaining visibility in all media and entertainment mediums. With the chart-topping success of songs by R&B crooners starting with R. Kelly's "Step in the Name of Love" and Happy People, and Gerald LeVert's "Didn't We?", the nation has gotten a taste of the steppers style. DISPLAY YOUR STEPPER PASSION!
