This map of China was published by National Geographic in June 1945, shortly before the end of World War II. But for China it was different, because with the defeat of his enemy Japan, China got into a four-year civil war. This historical map was accompanied by an article titled "China Fights Erosion with U.S. Aid" and is a beautiful addition to the China maps of 1912, 1964 and 1991. The map shows the Great Wall of China, ruins, railways, roads, canals, thousands of place names and much more. The country borders were coloured and are therefore easy to recognise. A nice map for every card collector!
