During his long career in Spain, El Greco (Domenikos Theotokopoulos Greek ca. 1577–87) produced numerous paintings of Christ carrying the cross. Here no other figures are represented and the setting is not recognisable. Instead, it is a devotional image of haunting immediacy and resonant with pathos. Christ's willing sacrifice for mankind is expressed through his gentle embrace of the cross and his heavenward gaze. Customise it with your own details. This card was easy to spot in the line up. Tasteful yet delivers a message. Print and verse already suggested and we’re fine with me. Insert your names and it’s complete. Like the smaller size. Printing was definitive. But some print was lighter than expected. I will adjust that next time. Font was pleasing.
