This historically unique, copyrighted and trademarked design and name, the “Christian Butterfly”® were given to Max Greiner, Jr. by God in early October of 1986, as he sought God for a jewellery birthday gift idea for his wife, Sherry. The artist cried out in prayer: “God, I give up! I need a good idea quick please!” Instantly, the image of the ichthus fish symbol with butterfly wings appeared in Max’s mind! The designer immediately responded: “Great idea, LORD!” Thousands of people around the world, in over 65 countries, have been blessed by this inspired design. The butterfly has always symbolised metamorphosis. However, the “Christian Butterfly”® clearly represents the transformation of a person into a “New Creation” (II Corinthians 5:17), when they give their life to Jesus Christ.
